AskBH is a community platform where users can ask questions, seek advice, and engage in discussions with fellow community members. We collect information that you provide directly when you register, create posts, participate in discussions, or communicate with us, as well as information automatically through your use of the Service.

a. Personal Information

Registration Data: Email address, display name (optional), and password

Profile Information: Profile photo (optional) and basic profile details

Location Information: City or area selection for community-specific content and discussions

Anonymous Sign-In: Users may access the app as a guest using Firebase's anonymous sign-in. In this case, a unique, non-identifiable user ID is generated by Firebase to enable temporary usage of the app without personal data such as email or name.

Even for users who sign in anonymously, certain data such as usage activity and device identifiers may be associated with a temporary Firebase-generated ID.

b. User-Generated Content

Community Posts: Questions, discussions, comments, responses, and other content shared within the community

Media Content: Photos, images, or other media files uploaded with posts or comments

Voice Room Participation: Audio interactions, chat messages, and shared images within voice rooms

AI Assistant Queries: Text input and interaction logs when using community assistance features

Community Interactions: Likes, votes, tags, and other engagement activities within community discussions

Private Chat Messages: Text messages and images shared in private chat sessions, along with session metadata

Random Voice Chat Data: Voice session participation, emoji reactions, and matching preferences

Missions & Rewards Data: Mission progress, diamond balance, unlocked rewards, and active customizations

c. Automatically Collected Information

Usage Data: Features used, pages/screens viewed, time spent on the app

Device Information: Device type, operating system, unique device identifiers

Log Data: IP address, browser type (when using web version), access times, pages viewed

2. How We Use Your Information

We process your information to provide, improve, and personalize our community Service:

Service Delivery: Authenticate users, manage accounts, and facilitate community discussions and question-asking features

AI Assistant: Process your queries and provide relevant community-based recommendations and assistance

Private Chat: Facilitate secure, time-limited private conversations between users while maintaining anonymity through badge numbers

Random Voice Chat: Match users for anonymous voice conversations and enable real-time audio communication with emoji reactions

With Other Users: Community posts and interactions may display your username, profile information, or general location area

Service Providers: Third-party tools used include:

• Firebase (Google LLC): Authentication, database, cloud functions

• Cloudinary: Image storage and optimization

• OpenAI: Powers AI assistant features

• Expo: App deployment and updates

• Agora: Real-time voice communication for voice rooms

Legal Requirements: To comply with applicable laws and regulations

Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets

4. Data Security

We implement security measures such as:

• Secure authentication via Firebase

• Encrypted data transmission

• Routine security assessments

However, no method of data transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Notifications: Customize notification preferences within the app

Content Deletion: Remove your community posts, comments, or discussions at any time

Account Deletion: Delete your account directly from the settings section

8. AI Features & Data Processing

The AI Assistant uses your queries and community interactions to deliver relevant and helpful responses

Your data may enhance the performance of AI-based community assistance features

Location and interaction data are used to improve community recommendations and content relevance

We use OpenAI technology to process community questions, generate helpful responses, and assist with content categorization

9. Missions, Rewards & Virtual Currency

Missions: We track your community engagement activities (posts, comments, votes) to award diamonds based on daily missions. Your progress resets daily.

Rewards: Your diamond balance and unlocked customization items (comment cards, comment colors, post cards, chat bubbles) are stored in your account.

Virtual Currency: Diamonds are virtual currency earned through engagement. They have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged for real currency.

10. Private Chat Feature

Private chats are time-limited conversations between users who are identified only by badge numbers to maintain anonymity.

Messages and images shared in private chats are stored for the duration of the chat session and for regulatory compliance purposes.

Users can block other participants, which prevents future chat requests from that user.

11. Random Voice Chat Feature

Random voice chat matches you with another user for anonymous voice conversations with a 10-minute time limit.

Voice data is transmitted in real-time through Agora and is not recorded or stored by AskBH.

Session metadata and emoji reactions may be temporarily stored to facilitate the conversation.

12. International Data Transfers

Your information may be processed outside your country, including where our third-party service providers operate. We implement appropriate safeguards to protect your data during international transfers.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this policy occasionally. Changes will be posted here with a new effective date. Continued use of the Service indicates your acceptance of the updated policy.
